The Jakarta Conservatory of Music will organize a Cello Masterclass that will be mentored by Indonesian Cello player currently residing in the Netherlands, Alfian Emir Adytia. Alfian obtained his Master’s degree in Classical Cello Music from The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, Netherlands. He graduated with an outstanding score of 9.5/10 with “distinction in originality”. Since graduating Alfian has performed on prestigious stages such as Cello Biënnale Amsterdam, Grachtenfestival, Jazz in de Gracht, Ngayogjazz, Dag in de Branding, Amsterdam Minimal Music Festival, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, Opera Forward Festival, Bachfestival Dordrecht, and as a soloist in “The Remembrance Day of The Netherlands on May the 4th”.

Besides his career as a cellist, Alfian is also a composer. He has received special awards at the Calefax Composers Competition and the Bartók World Competition for Composition in 2022. His works have been performed around the world, from young cellists’ gatherings in Yogyakarta, to film screenings at the FIVARS festival in Los Angeles and Montreal.
