Ade Sinata

Cello

Study music in Yogyakarta, where he first learned the cello from Brigida Berta. He continued his studies At the Indonesian Institute of Arts under Asep Hidayat.

An active soloist and chamber musician, Ade has performed in Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival, International Chamber Music Yogyakarta, and Jakarta Chamber Music Festival. In 2012 Ade performed premiere in world Sonatina for Cello by the Indonesian composer Budhi Ngurah at the Izmir Asian Contemporary Music Festival in Izmir, Turkey.

As the cellist of the d’Java String Quartet, Ade has given recitals in several cities across Indonesia and the Philippines. With d’Java String Quartet he has won the 1st prize for String Quartet Category in the 3rd Festival and Chamber Competition in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory (Singapore, 2010). In addition, Ade received the award for the Best Cello Performance (Singapore, 2010). As the cellist of Cascade trio, they have given recitals around Java and Thailand, invitation for masterclass and concert with Trio Arbos (Spain) in Valencia,Spain 2015 , Apple Hill Chamber Music Festival in New Hampshire, USA 2016 & 2017.

He was chosen to represent Indonesia at South Asian Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble in Bangkok, Thailand (2007&2008). Within the nation, he has played with Nusantara Symphony Orchestra with Hikotaro Yazaki,Ade currently acts as the principle cellist of Twilite Orchestra with Addie MS and Jakarta Sinfonietta with Iswargia Sudarno , participating in Twilite Orchestra tour concert to Slovakia and Germany, Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra with Rebbeca Tong tour to Australia, Taiwan, Hongkong, Jakarta Concert Orchestra with Avip Priatna tour to Singapore, Asian Week Orchestra with Jakarta City Philharmonic with Budi Utomo Prabowo in Tokyo, Japan.

Ade has had cello masterclasses and chamber music coaching with Leslie Tan (Singapore), Marcin Swaleszki (Poland), Damien Ventula (France), Sam Haywood (England), Budhi Ngurah (Indonesia), Sulistyo Utomo (Indonesia), Doric String Quartet (England), Trio Storioni (the Netherlands), and Takashi Shimizu (Japan), Katie Schlaikjer (USA), Trio Arbos (Spain)
