Born in Jakarta, Adelaide began studying piano under Flora Khouw. When her father served in Moscow Adelaide took private lessons with Edmon Euhim. Upon her return to Jakarta she continued her piano lessons at the Yayasan Pendidikan Musik (YPM) Music School under the guidance of Laura Himawan, Medaningsih Lesmana, Oerip Santoso and Iravati M. Sudiarso.
Adelaide then continued her music studies with a scholarship at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music under the guidance of Carolyn McCracken-Forough and at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee under the guidance of Jeffry Peterson and graduated with honors from UWM and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance.
Adelaide then taught at her alma mater YPM School of Music and since 2001 until now she has taught at the Jakarta Conservatory of Music. Adelaide is active as an accompanist, chamber music pianist and national piano competition judge.
