Andhanu was born in 1992. He began studying piano at the age of 8 under the guidance of a private tutor. In 2005, he became a student at the Jakarta Conservatory of Music under the mentorship of Ruth Wibisono and later Iswargia R. Sudarno. He received the first encouragement prize at the 2009 JCoM Competition and was a finalist in the 2010 CCF Chopin Competition. Andhanu has participated in masterclasses with several pianists, including Sam Haywood, Yoon Song, Dr. Steven Spooner, Adam Gyorgy, and Alena Cherny.
Besides playing the piano, Andhanu is also an active composer. He began writing music at the age of 10 and completed his first composition at the age of 11. From 2006 to 2007, he studied composition under the guidance of Haryo Suryoto from 2006 to 2007 and with Ananda Sukarlan in 2007. During this time, some of his works were performed at concerts held by the Jakarta Music Conservatory and the 2009 New Year’s Concert. He studied conducting under the guidance of Budi Utomo Prabowo from 2018 until 2023.
In 2018, Andhanu became a finalist and received a special mention at the 3rd International Maurice Ravel Composition Competition in Italy.
In 2012, Andhanu attended the Salzburg Summer Camp and participated in a piano masterclass under the guidance of Prof. Andreas Frölich. From 2012 to 2017, he continued his music education at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main in Germany, where he studied piano performance under Prof. Oliver Kern. He also studied music theory, composition techniques, and harmony under Dr. Kristian Raff and Hon. Prof. Claus Kühnl.
