
Yosephine Madju began studying piano at the age of eight with Rita Halim, followed by Henoch Kristanto at the age of sixteen. In 2010, she continued her piano studies at Universitas Pelita Harapan under the guidance of Levi Gunardi and Iswargia Sudarno.
Yosephine has collaborated with various orchestras in Indonesia. As an accompanist, she has performed with Nusantara Symphony Orchestra, Jakarta Concert Orchestra, and as a soloist, she has invited to perform Ravel Piano Concerto for the Left Hand with Jakarta City Philharmonic and Mozart Piano Concerto K. 271 with Jakarta Conservatory Chamber Orchestra.
Some of the awards Yosephine has won include the 2013 Yamaha Music Scholarship Asia, the first winner of 2015 JCOM-Boston National Piano Competition, and Honorable Mention at Chiang Mai Ginastera International Music Festival 2016.
Yosephine has also participated in masterclasses with Hans-Jürgen Schnoor, Manfred Aust, Josef Anton Scherrer, Steven Spooner, Sam Haywood, Ayke Agus, Adhi Jacinth, Enrico Elisi, and Wibi Soerjadi.
Currently, Yosephine is an active piano teacher. She is a faculty member at Jakarta Conservatory of Music and she also teaches private piano lessons at her place.
