Student Recital
Student recital is a means to train students’ mentality and readiness when performing in public. In addition, student recital is also a mean for teachers to evaluate the development of their students. Student recital are held regularly several times every quarter, and are for students from all programs and all levels.
Each student is required to perform in the Student Recital at least 2 times per level for Precollege Program students. Participation in the Student Recital is a prerequisite for being able to take the practical exam to the next grade.
Student Recital Rules
The maximum duration of each student’s performance:
- Grade 1 : 2 minutes
- Grade 2 : 3 minutes
- Grade 3 : 4 minutes
- Grade 4 : 5 minutes
- Grade 5 : 6 minutes
- Grade 6 : 8 minutes
- Grade 7 : 10 minutes
- Grade 8 : 12 minutes
- Performance Diploma/Young Artist : 12 minutes
Every student who performs in the recital must wear neat and polite clothes. Women wear skirts and shoes. Men wear shirts, long pants, and shoes. T-shirts, shorts, and sandals are prohibited.
Each student must be present 15 minutes before the event starts and leave after the event closes. Students who leave before the event is over will not get score for this activity.
