Music Education for Young Children
This program offers preliminary level music education aimed at children under the age of eight. The minimum age to join the program is four years old. However, this does not exclude the possibility of accepting younger students, as long as the cognitive, psychological and physiological processes of the students concerned allow. The duration of the program depends on the time it takes each student to complete the “early beginner” syllabus materials, or until the student is eight years old.
Curriculum
There are no other subjects given for this program other than practical subjects. Student recitals are also not compulsory, however, students can still participate in student recital activities.
The practical exam for this program advances the student to grade 1 of the Precollege program. The time to take this exam is determined based on student readiness and can be done at any time on the available exam schedule. Students who have reached the age of 8 are required to take this exam.
