Michael Hall, a viola player based in Chicago, is known as an international soloist, recording artist, and enthusiastic champion of new works by living composers. Over 140 new works have been written for him. He has performed in front of three former US presidents, the King of Thailand; and is the Artistic Fellow and Director of Education at Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra.

In this recital, he is accompanied by renowned Indonesian pianist Adelaide Simbolon, who is also a senior expert teacher at Jakarta Conservatory of Music. He will also play with one of her most successful students, Jane Irene Sutiono, who is often appointed as principal viola of Jakarta Sinfonia Orchestra, Jakarta Sinfonietta, and Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra.
